I'm Sarah!
I am the lead designer, coordinator, and owner of Stunningly Dunn Designs and Decor.
My love for weddings began at the early age of four years old, through the family owned and operated bridal boutique in small town Alliston. As I got a little older spending many days, nights, and weekends at the bridal shop with grandma and mom, I quickly became known for my honest opinion when it came to what dresses looked the best or didn't quite suit the bride to be. Never did my Mother or Grandmother ever think I would be helping brides find their perfect dress at such an early age. My "career" in modelling bridal fashions also began shortly after showcasing beautiful flower girl dresses in the many bridal shows my grandmother was so well known for organizing and hosting for a good many years.
I was taught so much of what I know today from both my grandmother and mom who had years of experience in the industry. I quickly developed my own love for weddings and special events and I have had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful couples on my own over the last 10+ years.
Before venturing into owning my own business, I worked towards and completed two diplomas at Seneca College. Visual Merchandising and Event Management and Exhibit Design. After finishing up my 3rd and final year at Seneca in Events, I knew that being in the event industry was definitely something I wanted to peruse. Not only do I love putting together all of the many details that go into a wedding or a special event, I enjoy getting to know each and every unique couple throughout the planning and designing process. There is a very good chance you will catch me shedding a few happy tears as clients head down the aisle.
When I am not coordinating or decorating for weddings or special events I enjoy spending time with my Hubby Mike, our two children Madelyn, Michael Edward, and our fur baby Bailey. My favorite past time is snuggling up with a nice cup of tea, and reading up on what’s new and trending in my favorite wedding magazine WedLuxe. I also love to spend time scrap booking my favorite photos, and memories, and I enjoy spending time in the kitchen baking tasty cakes, cookies, loaves, and other sweet treats.
